About Me

Hi, I'm Yasmin!

I am a product designer (in the making) and an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. I connect intercultural sensitivity with visual design, and human empathy.

Background

I create digital experiences that are both intuitive and meaningful. I was born in Tehran and have lived and worked in Berlin since 2012. My academic foundation is in fine arts — a Master of Arts from the Berlin University of the Arts — and my move into UI/UX design expanded that visual and conceptual practice into digital product work.

Alongside my creative work, I spent several years as an interpreter for refugee affairs, supporting communication in healthcare, housing, and social services. That experience deeply shaped my approach to design: I pay close attention to language, emotional context, and accessibility in every user flow.

Things that are
important to me

  • Clarity
    Making information and
    interactions easy to understand.
  • Empathy
    Respecting users’ real
    situations and constraints.
  • Narrative
    Guiding users through coherent,
    purposeful journeys.
  • Craft
    Interfaces with strong
    visual rhythm and detail.

  • Practice & focus

My artistic practice includes installation, drawing, and multimedia projects shown in exhibitions and collaborative cultural contexts. It keeps my design work exploratory, concept-driven, and visually distinctive.

    Currently focused on:

    • UI/UX for digital products and services
    • Translating complex workflows into intuitive interfaces
    • Building portfolios, product stories, and case-study narratives
